Diane O'Rell says people are the Valley's greatest strength
Diane O'Rell, a retired kitchen designer and Warren native, said she enjoys serving as a member of the Warren Grant Making Committee because she wants to be in a position to help her community.
"It is so uplifting and rewarding," she said, explaining that the Grant Making Committee serves a critical role in the community by assisting those individuals and groups who are working for improvement.
"The Foundation's efforts to assist financially makes me feel more hopeful for our community," O'Rell said.
O'Rell said the residents of the Mahoning Valley are the region's greatest asset. Unfortunately, the area also has many challenges, including joblessness and foreclosures, she said.
