John Pogue says Mahoning Valley's greatest assets are its residents

Warren attorney John Pogue accepted his invitation to join the board of The Raymond John Wean Foundation because he sees the Foundation as a key force in community development and support.

Pogue, who earned his bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in Indiana and his law degree from Indiana University, also serves as a trustee at Youngstown State University.

He identifies some of the Mahoning Valley’s greatest assets as its people who possess what he called a strong work ethic. He also cited the Valley’s ethnic pride and heritage as well as its natural resources as some of its other strong assets.

As a trustee at YSU, Pogue has helped shape the university’s growing mission as an urban research institution.

Pogue has also served as president of the Trumbull County Community Improvement Corp., Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Warren City Schools Foundation.
