Broadly speaking, the Organizational Excellence Program Manager (Program Manager) acts as an internal knowledge and process expert to Wean Foundation stakeholders, and externally as an expert to community stakeholders. This individual will be working closely with organizations – individually and as cohorts - to assess their needs, and help provide resources to strengthen grantees ability to deliver on their missions. The Program Manager will oversee a grant portfolio, and also maintain strong community ties to serve as a teacher, facilitator, coach and strategic resource for organizations. The ideal candidate has successfully worked directly with organizations in these roles before, and can provide demonstrable results.

There is no stopping it. But at The Raymond John Wean Foundation, we believe that we can help shape it.

The tomorrow that we see for the Mahoning Valley is filled with hope, promise and optimism:

  • Children will have quality learning opportunities, excellent health care and chances to play and experience the best of what life can offer.
  • Our urban neighborhoods will be safe and clean and great places to live and work.
  • Our residents will feel pride about where they call home and they will long for tomorrow, not yesterday.

We understand that these are fairly lofty ambitions.

But settling for less is just that -- settling.

We won't settle.

As a foundation with deep roots in the Mahoning Valley, The Raymond John Wean Foundation directs resources to help support organizations that are committed to improving the lives of our residents.

We support organizations we believe are in the best positions to do the most good for the most people.

In addition to serving as a financial resource, The Raymond John Wean Foundation has become an active coalition builder, always looking for ways to link organizations and goals to maximize good work. The Foundation is deeply committed to helping people and organizations grow through careful thinking and planning and building connections with other organizations and people able to offer assistance.

We believe in two guiding ideas:

  • Building the capacity of organizations and individuals.
  • Hard work.

We have a lot to accomplish.

Tomorrow is on its way.
